the girl who was always
sure and right and true?
and how can you not question
everything she ever said?
cause you took it like the gospel,
cause she was never wrong.
how can you keep faith in
that miracle girl who had all the answers,
when you see she's asking you,
when you see she doesn't know this time
and all the answers have gone north into the cold?
i bet it's just the same
as if your God doubted himself.
i bet it's just like losing a friend.
i bet you couldn't look beyond
the collapse of what you thought
was too strong and too centered to fall down
to see that maybe this time
she really does need help.
